Well, a couple of weeks after my previous post, basically proves my point, no comments or updates to almost all subjects and posts. CAM and CAM support appears to be dead . . .

Make your own wise judgement when choosing your next RGB hardware.

I for one, need to build another gaming machine, i will NOT be choosing NZXT hardware.

copy of previous post; (NZXT, please reply to this and let me know I need to apologise for being wrong)

For more than a couple of years customers have been asking for this but NZXT appears to be ignorant and seem to say in their lack of action and communication "fuck you". Possibly a bit harsh but I do get that impression; even these forums have died a death.

Must admit I will never buy a NZXT product again and I have successfully persuaded many friends not to.

Our goal for CAM is to unify a lot of the PC monitoring/tuning functions into one app. We realize that this is a very aggressive goal but it is something we believe in very much. It is true that up to this point we have not done a good job in certain areas, but we believe that with time and effort we can fix the bugs and optimize this app.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I for one use the oldest version I could find in offline mode and firewalled to minimise the potential faults.

I would be very happy if NZXT took the common sense approach and created an installer that allowed customers to choose what functions (modules) to install but I feel this will never happen.

    good luck . . .

** Addition: TIME and EFFORT has been done and I believe you have failed.

    Hahahaha. No.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's the whole bloody point, I DO NOT WANT AN APP, I just want a driver with a gui. !!!!!

    John commented  ·

After waiting 2 years now, (many have waited longer) I strongly believe that NZXT is ignorant. They will not ever supply an application that is only to control their hardware.

Basically if I had known that they do not supply clean drivers and control software, I never would have bought their products. I will learn from my mistake, (wish NZXT did . . . )

NZXT should stick to hardware only products, i.e. cases.

All I can say to everyone is HA!, do not upgrade past 3.3.5 if you want something that sort of works and you can control.

NZXT break something is EVERY release without fail. Hell, look at the complete chaos with 3.6.x

It will be 3.7.x before they fix the fan controls again but I belive they will break many more things by then.

    ***not a flame, just experience***

Unfortunately I have the X62, don't think there is a viable alternative yet?

Please let us know if there is, I really, really want to ditch the bloated CAM software.

Hi, if you have updated to 3.6.6 and are still having issues with your hardware or software, please open a new ticket and provide us with your logs so we can review what is happening.

Please try to be as descriptive as possible concerning what you consider to be working incorrectly, by specifying what hardware you have and what it is not doing which it should be doing.

This helps us greatly while trying to replicate the errors to verify why they are happening.

    Thank you.

    Assuming data collection is still happening;

It will be a laugh when NZXT is checked to see what data it acquires and for what purposes it uses that data from customers in the EU.

    https://www.eugdpr.org/gdpr-faqs.html

From several Bug Incidents and Ideas requests, I don't believe I have ever seen a explanation.

I personally have restricted CAM by firewall rules.

Feedback has been proven to be ignored and usually "completed" with a firm No from NZXT.

Sorry saracen.rush, but you may not have previously seen all the previous requests for actually working releases of the CAM software or simply a version of the CAM software that solely controls the hardware.

When it took considerable time to have CAM even start up when you switch your PC on it has become . . .

Please note that his is not an early access release by a start-up team developing their skills (I love early access and have backed many games over many years) that is improving the software on every release, this is supposed to be a finely refined suite of software tools developed over many years.

Unfortunately it does sometimes (more often than not) take a leap back in stability and usability.

One thing I seriously recommend to NZXT is that when a release of CAM is proven to have flaws affecting customers, please roll back to the release until flaws/errors are corrected, not add new features to a flawed release.

This has previously been requested by many customers and rejected by NZXT :( so don't waste you time asking :(

For me, I wasted a lot of money on NZXT products, I see many others fell into the same trap.

We are looking into bringing back the quick controls to lighting and cooling on the dashboard. It’ll replace the HDD section. What do you guys think?

    John commented  ·

Must admit I am really sick of NZXT, someday in my life time they might even product test a CAM update before release.

I am sick of uninstalling, removing registry entries, removingf other crap left over by a poorly implemented uninstaller, reinstalling and repeating the process numerous time to try and find a version of CAM with the least faults.

To date: 9 months to even recognise Kraken X52 and display it in the software after a restart, another month on 3.5.x and not even recognise the Kraken FAN speed which still shows 0. Still; no CAM running on startup, gaming overlays that only GOD knows when it will work. Poor quality USB leads to cause even more detection faults and to top it off, NZXT not even having stock to replace parts in a timely manor.

Sorry its a rant, but I am advising everyone I know to avoid NZXT :(

    Hi,

Please update to version 3.6.7 by downloading from here: https://camwebapp.com/download/

I’d suggest uninstalling the previous version before installing the new version as a clean install rather than updating it.

Please let me know if the issue is resolved after this.

    Thanks.

    John commented  ·

Sorry, I forgot to say, I do NOT want any online shit, just a software product that works locally on the PC that I have the Kraken fitted to . . . . Hundreds of customers are sick of asking for this.

    John commented  ·

Unfortunately, I made the stupid mistake upgrading to 3.5.0, more things not working including the basic ability to save any settings. come on NZXT, nearly a year and still not a single release with no additional faults !!!!!

Removing 3.5.0, deleting it and going back to an earlier version with less faults.
