Cam software 3.6.1 not detecting Grid+ [Windows 10]
After update to 3.6.1 CAM software stopped detecting the Grid+ controller.
Doing "Remove Device" from "Devices and Printer" MCP2200 Serial port emulator and restarting the OS solves the problem temporarily, after the following restart the Grid+ stop being detected again
Going to email you directly so that you can send me the logs.
Hi Max, not after 3.6.6 the detection problem persists.
However, the settings are not lost anymore.
Hi Max, version 3.6.2 doesn't fix the issue for me.
What I noticed is the following.
The first time the CAM software on boot up, the Grid+ V2 cannot be found.
If I close the CAM software and start it again the Grid+ v2 it's found. Unfortunately all setting for the Grid+ are lost in the process.
I tried removing the start up of CAM from the boot sequence and starting it manually after a minute from when system is fully started, but this doesn't solve the issue.
If I try debugging the virtual COM port I see the following:
When I send the initialization code (0xC0) to the port, the Grid+ often does not answer with the expected code 0x21 but it returns 0x2.
After the first time, it always succeed and return 0x21 as expected.
I hope this information will help your dev team narrowing down the issue.
Hi Max, thanks for the info. Unfortunately the hotfix that will be published this friday 07/20/2018 did not fix the issue.
