CAM loading causes Windows restarts
Having an ongoing issue when using CAM. Approx every other boot of Windows, while CAM is still loading, my system will restart. i purchased my Kraken last year & have tried numerous updates of software. Last 3 weeks been had CAM uninstalled without any issues. Have disabled HDD monitoring.
G Skill 16gb ram
Still have an issue (black screen) when using CAM and Grid+ v3 with other monitoring software together. Without starting CAM there is no issue.
Sold Grid+ v3.
So sad that didn't buy Corsair fans and controller :( . Good hardware products destroyed by very bad software implementation.
Windows keeps blank screening / Reset on the starting of the Cam software or shortly after starting Cam. Running Latest Version 3.7.0 - PC working perfectly without starting CAM so this software still has some serious bug !

I`ve had crashes, BSODs, so I downloaded windows 10 with all the updates using media creation tool 1803 and once windows was installed, ran windows update and after all the available updates were done, installed the drivers and the newest version of cam and it seems to fix my crashing problem. A bit early to say, but I`ve had no crashes in 2 days, so it seems to do the trick. Everything seems to be working fine.
asus x470 prime pro.
The cooler is working REALLY well compared the stock one so I want this to work.
I would get instant black screen crashes which were fixed by not starting cam software.
Now I am trying cam software ON but asus processes OFF to prove the connection.
Same here :( Just have built a new rig and was tracking what's the cause of random restarts and freezes for more than a week. Not cool.
Kraken x62 v2
Asus X-470 Prime Pro
Btw I got to know that with latest Cam also some Intel overclocking utility installs itself. I suspect it may be an issue for Ryzen build, though I'm not sure
Maxim, it has been turned off for a while now but unfortunately it is still keeps crashing. Thanks for the tip, though!
Roland, try to turn off Fast Boot also. I had no crashes over the past week.
Just a quick update: yes, it still crashes. Only took until 2nd reboot and it started to crash again.
Mine was turned off by default, yet it still caused windows to crash. Been using cam 3.3.5 without any issues, now I have just installed cam 3.5.90 so will see in the following days if this version is stable.
Try to turn off PCI Express Link State Power Management ( https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/292971-pcie-link-state-power-management-turn-off-windows.html ). Hope this helps!
Maxim you are right, it gave me 3 days of problem free running, and that was it. After that all the problems started to come back. Sorry for misleading, I thought that my system was finally running problem free.
Keep Us posted please, I am interested if anyone could find a solution.
The issue looks like a hardware conflict of NZXT CAM and one of ASUS services (fan control or aura sync). Just tried to disable both ASUS services, hope it'll help. :)
Roland, guest mode didn't fix the issue. Windows still may crush after CAM loading (but less often).
same as you
I had the same problem. I uninstalled cam, rebooted the system, and installed it again. Just log in as guest, and this should fix the problem. Now i am running my pc 2 days straight without windows crashing. Try it, it might works for you as well.
Just use CAM 3.3.50. No more crashes, no more black screens, no more grid+ v3.
same thing :(
Ryzen 5 1600
ASUS B350-F Gaming
NZXT X62 Kraken
NZXT Grid+ V3
NZXT Internal USB Hub
Win 10 (last update)
same thing here.

My Ryzen based system and amd gpu and windows intermittently crashes and restarts. I have disabled cam and in process of selling my Kraken and RGB lights due to the effect cam had on system stability.
