CAM makes temp rise about 15c when running!!
I got the kraken x62 for my 1700x, installed the cam software and updating CAM whenever there is an update.
I got comfortable running at 3.8ghz 1.280Vcore stable with CAM temp reporting from 30c to 45c when idle and showing max 60c after 30 min stress test.
The 30c to 45c keeps jumping after fresh PC startup, there could be 30c, and 1 sec later 45c then 40c etc..
I then downloaded hwinfo and found out my cpu temp was indeed the correct temp as CAM showed and the temp jump also showed up in hwinfo, then I testet what I should have done long time ago,
I closed the CAM software while looking at hwinfo.
I saw the temp drop down to a chill stable 27c, its even under 30 while browsing and doing light tasks, immediately when I open CAM again the temps go up in bote CAM and hwinfo, so my problem is:
why does the CAM software make my cpu temp increase and make those jumps..Temp is still the same when stressing cpu 100% 30 min, about 60c w/ cam open or not.
For now I only open CAM to change from silent to performance fan speeds and after that I close the program, there is no load on cpu when CAM is open so I dunno why this is happening, but it has been since august 2017, now january 2018 and cpu never been breathing this good. Suggest other to test the same thing and see if their CAM software does the same to cpu temps..
Bios also showing what hwinfo shows with CAM closed, around 26-29c ambient temp constant 20c
Sorry for bad english writing, still learning.
I got the kraken x62 aswell for 1700x. I have the exact same problem. Looks like there's no solution other than using version 3.3.5. Because it startet with 3.5 Or just minimize CAM. It's just sad
