Kraken X62 not recognized by CAM after reboot
When I first install CAM it see's my Kraken X62 and everything works as it should. When I turn off my PC and come back to it the following day, my X62 is no longer recognized by CAM (its not even listed).
To remedy this, I have to uninstall CAM and reinstall it so my x62 can be recognized.
Is it possible for this to be fixed?
Hi there, if you guys believe to still be experiencing this issue can you guys follow this post?
This is to help us isolate the issue. Thanks!
Hi there, the new version that was released today should resolved this issue. If you still experience any instances of the Kraken detection issue it can still be because of defective cables or other external factors. If that’s the case please contact us by submitting a ticket on support.camwebapp.com and click on “Contact Support” on the right. Thanks!
Chris' solution with disabling the flagged USB device and then enabling it worked with my x62 it is now detected by CAM. Thanks, Chris!
Just noticed kraken's not being matched with the color way i've set. When I checked, It was not detected on cam. Chris' method below worked for me.
This fixes it! Thanks Chris!
"Was having same problem on my X52, found a way to permanently fix it (as for now) go to device manager and disable then enable the device, you should be able to tell which one it is becuase mine had a yellow triangle on it, then restarted CAM and it came right up, no issues after that."
from Chis !
I just solve my problem doing that Chris wrote. Thank you Chris.
Disable the usb where you have connected the kraken and then, enable it. Restart CAM and everything should work correctly.
i just solved my problem with this. i changed the usb header to a new slot until it was detected by the software. my motherboard had 3 usb 2.0 slots and only one of them worked with CAM
Using NZXT provided micro USB to USB header cable
Tried reinstalling Kraken USB driver - no detect
Rebooted several times - no detect
CAM does show CPU fan speed at 2000+- rpm(not sure if correct)
CAM indicates Chassis front 1300rpm+-
CAM indicates chassis rear 1000rpm +-
How do you get CAM to detect this blasted Kraken unit to monitor it correctly and adjust RGB and mirror effects?
hardware sexy af,software......lol
Same happening to me. They still haven't fixed it. What a shame. The fix everyone reports here works but it resets randomly on other days...you have to keep going to device manager doing the same workaround. We are now in 2018 and 361 comments later...still not perma fixed. Shameful
I can confirm that the method Chris recommended works. Just go to device manager and look for a usb device with a yellow triangle on it. Disable and enable it again and start CAM.
Guys, if updating the software does not solve the issue, try clearing the cmos.
Instructions can be found from your motherboard manual.

Well, I see my issue won't be fixed...
Brand new kraken x52 and smart device with new nzxt case. Have to click "detect" on every reboot. What a PITA.
I had an issue similar to this and managed to fix it by downloading and installing the old 3.3.50 version of CAM and allowing it automatically update to the most recent version of CAM
My X62 lit up white, HAS NEVER been detected by CAM software, ever... I hate to sound like prick, but I can't help but think its pretty sad that a supposedly top shelf AIO can't even be detected by it's own software, let alone customized or configured.

it is march 2018 i bought my NZXT kraken x52 yesterday . Intalled cam set up my lights everything OK. Today i turn on my computer CAM DOES NOT detect the kraken. I go online to check how to fix it and I find a 1yo thread about a $150 product. and no actual way to fix it. :) fantastic
Same issue here. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m returning this piece of junk today. With so many people having the same issue and they haven’t even tried to fix it. And mine is a newer batch as well. NZXT, please fix your AIO coolers. You lost a previous loyal customer.
The kraken was too much of a pain in the ass and I tried everything to get it working. Ridiculous that a $150 cooler isnt able to connect to the damn software. When something is this vital you think they would make a way bigger effort to get a fix but its been so long and no help with the software or a change in the usb cables being shipped with the AIO's. Since buying this I have given up and switch to a Thermal Take Floe Riing 360 for only $50 more and it was way worth it. I can actually control the speed of the pump and the fan stuff because they actually connect to the software they are made for! Almost like that is something that all AIOs should do? Just an idea though. Thank you for nothing NZXT.
Im still waiting on a replacement. Been trying for months to get my cooler to work like its suppose to but to no avail at all. It's been a month since I was suppose to get the replacement. This problem has been an issue for more then a year now.

Okay, I think i found the problem.. I got AURA installed and that had problems with Cam Software..
Just used HWiNFO64 And next starup Cam dont detect Kraken again... Now that i think anout it HWiNFO64 might cause CAM to loose its mind.. Maybe NZXT should look into it
