CAM displaying wrong CPU temp
Just got CAM installed with a Kraken X61 but the software is showing a different CPU temperature than what is shown on the motherboard and in Open Hardware Monitor. I had the Corsair H100i before this and the Corsair Link software let me link the fan speed with whatever sensor I wanted. Why would the CAM software be showing a different temp than the CPU is actually producing? Maybe make an option to choose which sensor to use for CPU monitoring??
Hi, the most recent version, (3.6.7) fixes the wrong temperature reading issue. Please update by downloading from here: https://camwebapp.com/download/
I’d suggest uninstalling the previous version before installing the new version as a clean install rather than updating it.
Please let me know if the issue is resolved after this.
CPU Temperature shown in the DirectX Overlay and the temperature shown in CAM are totally different.
The CPU temp shown in CAM Applications agrees with Open Hardware Monitor. But the temperature shown in CAM Overlay is totally different to CAM Application, roughly double.
Just got CAM installed and was shocked with the TEMP of my CPU. It averages from 68C to 82C after just turning it on. I installed AMD Overdrive and checked the Thermal Margin. It only shows as 41C to 45C. This is the latest version. How can this be fixed? I wanted to post a screen shot but it does not a allow me to.

We hope this issue has been resolved. The following ticket will now be closed due to this ticket being involved with our older version. Please update to our newest version and see if you still exhibit the same behavior. Thank you.

yeah, I have an I7-4790k in my gaming PC and my capture rig for streaming and it does the same to me. It actually jumps as if is reading voltage or a fan speed. Its super weird and really stinks bc I want to use this sw but dude.. Not having CPU temps is a BIG detractor.
It does the same to me, shows Im at like 65 - 85C on idle but Open Hardware Monitor Shows Im At Like 20C Idle. Last Time I Use This.
My laptop got a i7-4700HQ and the cam software notifies me that the cpu has exceeded 91-92C even thought the software itself says 73-76C.
It's happening to me too. I have a 6700k cooled by a Kraken X61, on a MSI Z170A Gaming M5 motherboard. The temperatures shown on the motherboard are 10 degrees Celsius higher than shown in the CAM and Overlay. It's bugged as hell.
Intel i7 5960x. After pouring over the forums, I concluded that the cam dashboard displays an average of all the cores. Also, one thing I noticed was that the program has a "below normal" priority. I have to set it to normal or above otherwise during a stress test, it takes a whopping 15 seconds to react. All in all, great software. Just add more points so I can set a safe custom fan curve lol
