    • CAM Software is a TRAIN WRECK

CAM Software is a TRAIN WRECK. Nothing ever works right with this thing. My lights never work, profiles get deleted, devices not detected and many more. Dont bother with NZXT, just go Corsair.

Hello, this option might be re implemented in a future update, but for the time being I would suggest to change the color to black in the logo if you wish to turn it off.

I need my son to be able to launch the CAM software without requiring elevation. He is a Standard User for obvious reasons.

Good afternoon, I am sorry to inform you that we can not change this since CAM does require administrative privileges in order to be able to control the hardware.

          • Where is changelog?

            • I need to roll back please

3.5.90 keeps crashing my browsers and freezing bitlocker. Where can i find previous versions?

I close the current version and everything just works flawlessly.

              • Conflict with MSI Afterburner or Asus GPU Tweak causing black screen and PC crash

As I said in the title, if CAM and Afterburner or Asus GPU Tweak are both launched, my PC will randomly crash after a blackscreen.

This makes me have to choose between monitoring my CPU or my GPU's temperature, which is really annoying.

Any idea on how to solve this problem ?

                Thanks !

Hello badakzz, We are currently aware that If you have any of the following programs below, they can come into conflict with CAM :
Precision X, Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming, RGB Fusion, Asus Aura, MSI Mystic, Afterburner, Corsair Link. We will be working in future versions to improve compatibility between the different software programs.

                • Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi RGB lighting settings still delete on shutdown

I downloaded the CAM software today (3 June 18) which I assume is the latest updated version. When I created a New Custom Profile for my Cryorig H7 Quad Lumi in the CAM software, (changed colour of LEDs from white to WAVE), it deletes the custom lighting settings when I Shutdown the computer, and the LED logo and backlighting revert to default white. But when I log into CAM again, the coloured WAVE settings appear again. I know this problem has been fixed by your team, but why is it still happening to me? Thank you in advance.

Hello Frank, please clear something up for me so I can better understand your issue. You create a custom profile, but when you shut down your computer the lighting is white until CAM logs back in? Or does it stay white? Please let us know so we can determine if it is actually an issue or if it is the way the program works.

                    Thanks.

                  • Hue+ not detected by CAM

Hue + not detected by CAM despite spending whole week following all troubleshooting ideas, also purchased a 2nd unit that wasn't being detected by cam. Your chat support team also admit it's a CAM fault. Are you guys willing to lose customers and face instead of getting this fixed? The worst part was that it worked for a single day then decided it didn't want to work anymore, which proves it isn't my hardware (same issue on my spare PC). What do you suggest guys?

Hello anonymous, we are very sorry for the inconveniences you are currently experiencing.
Are these the troubleshooting instructions that you followed?

If you are using a HUE+ and CAM is not detecting the device. You can try these troubleshooting steps.
                      - Please go to the Devices Page and select “Detect Devices”
                      - Go to Control Panel and click on “View Devices and Printers” then remove the MCP2200 device or any Unknown USB Device. Then restart your computer and check CAM again
If you still see a Unknown USB Device, then it seems that the USB cable is creating a bad connection to the motherboard. You can try using a different USB cable to check and see if the USB cable that came with the package is faulty. You can use a micro to regular USB cable and route it to the back of your case to test this issue. If…

I've tried other lighting effects and even reinstalling CAM and still keeps going back to default. It worked perfectly for at least a month before starting to do this, also started right around the recent update, not sure if it caused it though.

Hello Dilan, Does your CAM have internet connection available as soon as Windows starts? Or do you have to manually log in? Cause sometimes when CAM does not start immediately, it stays in the default colors until I log in. Also, verify if your settings are being saved correctly. If this continues happening, please send us the logs found in the following folders:
                        C:\Users\Public\Documents\CAM
                        C:\Program Files (x86)\NZXT\CAM\Logs

                      • CPU Temp

I have the Kraken X62 on a i7 8700, and everything seems to be working well, however; when I play a game, I sometimes get a CPU high temp notification. The notification states that my CPU has hit a temp of 80+ degrees, but when I look at the temp data, as well as the gaming data, my CPU temps are in the 60+ degree range. I'm just wondering if these are false notifications, or if there might be an issue I'm not aware of. Thanks!

Hello Parker, it is possible that when you received the notification, if you did not delete it afterwards, CAM continues to alert you even though the temperature is back to normal.

In CAM, click on lighting tab, from there go to the Games tab, and disable the “Automatically enable this mode when running” checkbox.

I have a problem with my fans not spinning upon booting the PC. I have a H700i case with 3x AER RGB 140 and the 3 120 stock fans. From day one, i have had problems with the fans not always spinning upon booting and now i have simply grown tired. Is the Smart Device broken, or is it a Firmware problem. I just doubt it is the CAM software, as they don't even start when i turn on the PC. It seems like a firmware problem in the Smart Device it self.

Hello, thank you for contacting CAM support, we are sorry for the inconvenience you are experiencing.

If you are experiencing an issue where the fans on the Smart Device are not spinning. Please check the specs on those fans. Each channel on the Smart Device can only support up to 10 watts and if you exceed that threshold the Smart Device will have a fail safe to shut off all the fans. At this time please shut off your PC and turn off your PSU. Then wait 10 seconds and turn your PSU and PC back on. See if the fans spin then.

It is also possible the 3 140 rgb fans may be plugged into one channel, which could be causing the watt limits to become over capacitated. In that case, try to distribute the fan connections amongst other free ports and see if that works.

The overlay requires DirectX Runtime to be installed.
Please install DX Runtime and then restart your PC and see if the overlay works. The link below will take you to the download site for the installer.
                                https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Also make sure that you have tried manually enabling the overlay with the short keys (Shift + O). These shortcut keys can be changed from settings in CAM as well.

If the instructions above does not work please let us know which games the overlay is not working on.

Also, some games have an anti-cheat mechanism which can sometimes conflict with the CAM FPS overlay. We are currently working to fix this issue with many companies, but it is a process which takes some time and communication between the developer and NZXT.

In CAM, click on lighting tab, from there go to the Games tab, and disable the “Automatically enable this mode when running” checkbox.

Hi there, in CAM go to to the left and click on the lighting icon. Then click on Edit on the HUE+ section. There should be a tab called “Games” and on the top of the color picker, uncheck the check box the says “Automatically enable this mode when running”. Scroll down and click “Apply”

I don't know if it's just me but I can't seem to find where to change the colour of my RGB fans. I have looked everywhere in the CAM software and can't seem to find it. I have even tried re-installing it.

                                    Thanks in advance

If you are using a HUE+ and CAM is detecting the HUE+ but the fans do not light up or is lighting up in abnormal colors.
Please try each fan individually and see if any of them are defective. Exit out of CAM, then unplug all the fans from the HUE+. Then plug one fan into the HUE+, and start CAM. Check and see if the fan appears in CAM and the LEDs can be controlled. Repeat this for all the fans. If the fans are the issue, please contact our support team over at https://www.nzxt.com/customer-support to look for replacement fans. Please state how many fans you have that is defective.
Also try using a different connection cable to connect the fans to the HUE+. The connection cable can sometimes cause issues as well. If the fan connection cable is the issue, please contact our support team over…

Some games have an anti-cheat mechanism which can sometimes conflict with the CAM FPS overlay. We are currently working to fix this issue with many companies, but it is a process which takes some time and communication between the developer and NZXT.

System defaults to white-only profile for Kraken X52 (first CAM device) and HUE+ (1 x 120mm, 2 x 140mm AER RGB on 1st channel + 4 LED strips on 2nd channel) on first boot or HUE+ reset.

When CAM loads, Kraken is set to Default (All Channels) and HUE+ is set to Spectrum Wave (All Channels), but the Kraken stops lighting immediately after the Spectrum Wave appears on the HUE+.

Sync Mode - Spectrum Wave (Default) allows both Kraken and HUE+ to work, as well as resetting the HUE+ hub to enable it to load the defaults (white-only).

If you see the CAM preview window when you hover over the task icon in your taskbar but the window doesn’t appear when you click on the icon. You might be experiencing an issue where the window is on a different “phantom” monitor.

Try doing this, press on the CAM preview window when you hover over the task icon. Then click "Shift + Windows Key + Arrow Key (<,>) to return the CAM window to your usable desktop space.
