Hue+ 2 Channel on - Audio not smooth
I just bought the Hue+, mainly because of the Audio Visualisation with the RGB LED strips. It turns out, when I plug every 4 LED strips into channel 1 OR 2, it works fine, very smooth.
But when I plug in 2 LED strips each channel, so 2 LED strips on channel 1, and 2 LED strips on channel 2, the audio visualisation is not very smooth at all. At least not in comparison with the first method described above. It's very laggy, like playing with 20 fps, instead of 60.
It seems like the controller of HUE+ is overloaded with 2 channels working at the same time with the audio profile. The same problem occurs when 3 LED strips plugged into ch1 and 1 LED strip in ch2. And vice versa.
In addition: Let's say you have a 2 LED per channel combination, which is very laggy if both channels are turned on at the same time. IF you turn one channel off, the other channel left on just works fine and smooth, no matter which channel it is. But the channel turned off have these random LED flicker for some miliseconds, although they supposed to be turned off.
Keep in mind, all 4 LED strips are working fine in all other modes/profiles. Just the audio beta profile has some bugs as described above.
So I want to know if you guys from NZXT are aware of this problem? Are you working on a fix already? Because I'm not finding any solutions to this problem on the internet. Is my theory correct, that the HUE+ controller is overloaded with 2 channel turned on at the same time, and we will never get a audio mode working proberly with both channel on, no matter how much LED strips are connected to it?(Problem even occurs when 1 LED strip is connected to each channel) And when we're at it: What's the difference betwenn "Level" and "Gain" in Audio modes?
I would appreciate it if you could answer some/all of my questions.
Greetings from Germany
I can confirm this, update 3.1.36 does not fix the problem.

I have got the update but the same problem 3.1.36 with a fresh install as well.
Hi Christian Gimenez,
did you received an update? I still stay at CAM version 3.1.2. There is not update for me.

Hi guys again ,
Still, no fix even with the new update, still just running off 1 channel . I have even updated to the newest cam installer . So any update on this?
Hello from the Philippines,
Channel 1 - 4 Led Strips @main window panel
Channel 2 - 2 Led Strips @opposite window panel.
Yeah im in the same boat with you guys, im having the same problem while using Audio Sync.
And on a side note. that pesky update bug/glitch is still present, im getting tired of resetting when it fails. :/
Edit: the channel that is turned off has some led flicker in each strip. sometimes on beat. and on lag.
there is no lag when 4 strips connected to 1 channel (secondary channel off). Works with channel 1 with channel 2 off and vice versa. There is no way for me running 2 channels in audio mode proberly, I'm waiting for a solution from NZXT. I've submitted a support ticket a few weeks ago. They said, they will pass it to the CAM engineers.
Quote: "There will be a fix for this just not sure when."
Since then I didnt look into it. I'm just not using the audio mode although I really want to. I hope more people will come by and upvote this thread, maybe NZXT might prioritize this.

Wow by turning off one channel it improved dramatically , and i also have the same problem with random flickers . Have you found a way to run both channels. Also have you tried with 4 strips on one channel and does it lag still ?
